Martha H School
Martha H School is a forthcoming specialist educational provision within the Polaris Community, set to open in Spring 2025 (subject to approval).
Located in Wigan, the school is dedicated to offering a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 5 to 18 who face challenges associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), anxiety, as well as communication, interaction, cognition, and learning needs.

Educational Approach
Martha H School is committed to delivering high-quality, aspirational education through bespoke learning opportunities tailored to each student’s unique needs. Small, bespoke groupings of 4 to 6 children are supported by a class teacher or tutor and at least one teaching assistant per group, ensuring personalised attention and fostering a supportive learning environment. Curriculum
The curriculum at Martha H School is designed to be both broad and balanced, aligning with the National Curriculum while being tailored to match each pupil’s academic abilities and needs.

Older students have access to a curriculum leading to external accreditations, which may include GCSEs, Functional Skills, ASDAN, Entry Level, and AQA awards.

Staffing and Class Structure
