New Specialist School, Martha H School, to Open in Bryn This September

Polaris Education is delighted to announce the upcoming opening of Martha H School in Bryn this September, expanding our community of specialist schools and providing vital support for young people across Wigan and beyond.

The school is named in honour of Martha Hogg, Wigan’s first female councillor and a pioneering advocate for equality and inclusion. Reflecting her legacy, Martha H School has been designed as a nurturing, inclusive environment for children and young people aged 5–18 with autism and/or social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

Following extensive refurbishment, the school now features a range of facilities to support learning, wellbeing, and personal development, including:

  • A calming sensory garden
  • Cosy reading nooks to encourage a love of books
  • Bright, creative classrooms designed to inspire learning
  • An outdoor learning and forest school area to promote exploration and connection with nature

Interest in the new school is already strong, with enquiries coming in from families across Wigan and Bolton.
