The building has been renamed Elmy Hall School in honour of Elizabeth Wolstenholme Elmy, a Cheshire suffragist, teacher and human rights activist who opened a school for girls in the area.

We’re thrilled to announce that Redstone Hall School will officially open its doors early this spring in central Ipswich.

We had a very exciting day here at Becker School when we welcomed a special guest –  Iqbal Mohammed, MP for Dewsbury and Batley.

Lynn Brown, a Teaching Assistant at Ormston School, has been recognised on a national stage for her outstanding contribution to nature and community engagement – receiving a prestigious Bees’ Needs Champion Award from DEFRA.

To mark Earth Day 2025, our students took action on climate change. Inspired to make a difference, our Student Council members secured a donated apple tree sapling from a local garden centre and planted it on school grounds.

Hosted by Polaris Community, the event provided attendees with a first look at the ongoing transformation of the former Bryan Wood Care Home into a state-of-the-art, therapeutic learning environment.

Our staff team, led by Headteacher Laura Austin, support children and young people from across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derby, and the latest result is a huge achievement for the school which achieved a rating of ‘Outstanding’ in all areas.
